4/23/17 – WHTRR Tumblr – 2009 – May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December

6/15/17 – Researched and updated Nashville Pussy page. Love them! Still need to find photos and videos.

6/16/17 – While looking at the way back archives I found this treasure:bmf.mypodcast.com – while none of the actual podcast are still there I’m sure I can find them on his computer. At least this gives me an index and his words. 2007-2008.

8/5/17 – Today is BMF’s birthday and I plan to spend the entire day working on MusicFilter and listening to his playlists, watch Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad and in general just think about him. I am investigating the wayback archives of musicfilter.org where the archives end @ September 2011 to see if I can find some missing parts. Ok so I went and fluffed up September 2011 but that led me to wonder about prior to September 2011 and I found there was very little posting anywhere from BMF in October of 2011 and I can’t remember what was happening at the time (other than the usual), so I further explored the archive for musicfilter.org. As far as I know musicfilter.org has always been forwarded to musicfilter.com and right now musicfilter.net is the holder of the old website before it crashed down in 2014.

musicfilter.org archive stats:

6.26.17 – Back to current restoration
10.5.16 – Back to the crash in February 2014 – but there are some intact posts to restore
(like this one about Zach – )

Wow I need some birthday cake!

8/14/17 – Watching BB19 at midnight working on restoring and redesigning the Unsatisfied page. They have a new album out that contains the four songs that Eric and Wayne sent to Jeff not too long before he died. We listened to it several times but he was never able to write his last review. I’m going to try and write one soon for him. Today is the 7th anniversary of BMF’s Epic Birthday Party in 2010, so its Unsatisfied day.

8/17/17 –Losing my baby is so Unsatisfying. Bought some White Trash for $1.

8/20/17 – Working on the BMF Sony computer today to locate Unsatisfied photos – got to finish the Unsatisfied but it’s so fun listening and watching BMF’s joy over this band. I love them too. 🙂

4/13/18 – Sorta forgot about updates there for a while. But I really haven’t been updating MusicFilter much for a few months. I started a Swedish Death Clean at the Punk Rock House, but I don’t want to give up any of our stuff. We have a lot of containers full of great nothings but everythings to us. I finally had to get away from the Punk Rock house as it started to make me sad missing BMF. I went to Mexico at Christmas and I’ve been staying with family a whole lot. A lot of time has been spent taking care of our little blind dog Johnny Rotten over the past few months. I’m so sad to say he finally succumbed to his old age of 15 on April 4, 2018. He didn’t die here at the Punk Rock house but his ashes are now back here with BMF, just like he wanted. BMF and Johnny…that’s the way it has to be. I guess myself, Steve Jones, Stevie Nicks and Peaches will join in too one day when it’s time. RIP little Johnny Rotten … you were quite the best dog ever.

So the other crappy fucked up thing that’s happened is the web has turned to stupid with hackers. Thanks Barack Obama and Donald Trump. I know some type of hackers have always been out there but now it’s turned into a industry, stealing information and then the defenders charging to defend.  I’m glad we got to have fun on the net before it got so complicated. We have all these sites that we have used for entertainment value. Not sure where it will go but for now I’ve had to get them protected. That cost a whole lot more money but it’s worth it cause I want to finish it. I’m not too sick of it yet.  Plus it reminds me of you. When the “security” girl checked MusicFilter for the problem the first link she clicked was a Marilyn Manson and it sent her to a crazy place where hackers sit in wait of the naive. She said they reported them to the FBI.Oh really. But they had hacked MusicFilter up and put in some bad code causing links to click to bad and then the site got red flagged. So the “security” web people fixed it and now guard it with virtual machine guns. Ha! We’ll see. You would have been pissed. Yesterday I rode into a bad side of town and all I saw were abandoned strip malls, gas stations and even a fucking bowling alley. Right now I’m thinking that’s where the net is going to be one day. Dead. It’s seriously fragile now. I need to hurry up and condense all this shit and turn it to something I can hold and hide. But it wouldn’t be the same.

Dealing with all the cleanup caused me to get motivated to keep going. So I’m back at the Pine Lake house meditating and liking it for now. Plus it’s coming up on the two year mark since you left. Seems not that long ago. Also I traded your Dave truck in on a something I can drive. Now that I have to drive.

So I spent the whole night working on restoring photos from 2009 using the archive at musicfilter.net.as a guide and pulling photos from the server. Luckily a lot is still there! You saved it! But musicfilter.net is just a backup skeleton to MusicFilter’s former glory. I’m on BMF preservation and adding MC touches I know you would like. Best part is I keep finding thoughts and songs from you and then I get stuck in the memory of you for hours. Just where I want to be…nothing is the same without you so all I can do is linger in remembering you. A love story for sure.

I was able to check most of the items off the 2009 archive page. I restored photos and some links. I relocated the MusicFilter Audio Parser! That’s 20 pages of BMF curated music. And you. I hear you. Thank god I can hear your voice. This is a joyful prize. There is a lot of our time in there during a tricky year. Geeeezus. Life is crazy.

listening to MusicFilter Tumblr

I guess the internet is ok after all, but I still had to buy a SSL certificate for MusicFilter.

Restored:

Coffin Box makes “Skull A Day”
BMF LOVES POLY and cigarettes.
Anarchy Shelf

But the most time consuming and fantastic was restoring the Sex Pistols Art Project pages. I love this more than anything. I made this new badge for the side.

Oh yeah and I disconnected fucking COMCAST.
Just for you. (scroll to the bottom right before the lizard) in

Pretty sure I’ll be spending the next 10 days working on restoring MusicFilter.

Just found all your Tumblr recordings from May 22, 2009 to November 6, 2013.

Not sure why I didn’t figure this out before, not sure you could sort before? Nobody will really care about this but me. But I want to hear your voice. I remember when you first figured out you could record to Tumblr in 2009 when you were away from me working. We didn’t like it. It was a trying time. I had no idea how trying it would be and what you would do to cope with it. I don’t care now. I really didn’t care that much then, I just didn’t want to be away from you. I was pouting. LOL! Oh geez stupid girl.  I’m just happy to have these recordings of you.I’m going to listen to them in succession. You always had the best stories and information and music knowledge. You cared about what you liked. I loved your sexy voice.

4/14/18 – Loving it. Finally found the photos on the server and restored the MusicFilter Cassette Project, and then I really read the Faith Healers page and added the cassette tape they gave you(sorry I was so jealous of your past life that I couldn’t embrace your Faith Healers in the right way while you were here, but I’m so happy now you had those amazing experiences in your life). Found a cool podcast from 2013 called “Between the Sheets” trying to update an obsolete link to Compound Radio.. I’m about a 27.9 and listening now.

March 23, 2010 wayback archive for MusicFilter.net

4/15/18 – found a lost post in the archive – Long In the Tooth posted by BMF on March 21, 2014. There is one more after that dated April 10, 2014 concerning Joan Jett and Nirvana and the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Interestingly I just posted about the 2018 Hall of Fame that just inducted Bon Jovi and The Cars last night. Keep sending me your vibes baby. The first missing post led me to find MusicFilter’s link to BandCamp which was certainly set up after Jeff knew he had cancer due to the photo he posted of himself with his mowhawk hat sitting at his smoking station at the punk rock house SMOKING!

BMF @ his punk rock shed lounge. 2016

6/8/19 – I have been around and updating things as time goes by, I guess I just forgot about this page until now. LOTS has happened since April 2018. I had to get started living or get started dying. I moved from our punk rock house because it just was not the same without BMF and I was just sad there without him. I’ve fixed up a cool place for all our memories. Tonight I restored the existing photos for the MF Vinyl page (this is seriously outdated) and I updated the MusicFilter Books page(also outdated) because I was thinking about how BMF brought the book “Communion” with him when he moved to Atlanta. He was really passionate about the ideas of alien abduction because of this book. I think it was just the drugs talking. 🙂 #57bmf4ever ~mc

7/20/19 – I have been working on the BMF saga and I’m pretty sure I won’t get it done by his birthday on August 5, but I’ll try to put a draft together to give his Mom something to look at…I’ve been to Alaska since the last time I worked on this and have not been very motivated to get into it until today. As I worked on the saga I came across The Kills and this lead me to rescue some pictures and update the pages. There really is not that much on MusicFilter about The Kills, but their first album was a big deal to us as we were working on MusicFilter in 2003. Poof – time is fast. So fast. Too fast. But he left me a lot to do and that makes me happy. I love thinking about him every day and miss him so much. I did figure out that musicfilter.net is just a skeleton too after spending hours trying to update pages. So as time goes by I’ll just dig at it’s bones and rescue the photos mostly and try to archive the old web design and eventually shut that one down. I deleted the Kills photos off that server tonight and it was pretty easy but I was still nervous. LOL!

8/1/19 – In preparation for BMF’s upcoming birthday on August 5 and the announcement of the 20 year anniversary show of the Evils, Unsatisfied and El Caminos , let’s update the Evils page.

8/5/19 Today is your birthday. I’ve been sleeping a lot but working on MusicFilter a lot too. It’s 12:14 AM and I’ll spend the day posting tributes for your birthday. I realize this is going to be the rest of my life.

I added our picture to the sidebar and linked to our love history and I updated the Evils page a lot! I randomly came across a broken link which caused me to update a BBQ page and a couple links.TAKE A MESSAGE! I love that song. It runs through my brain sometimes. I’m watching Euphoria (weird but truthful) and I’m going to eat some gummy bears and walnuts. Shelby went to 6 Flags today. She loved it! Her birthday is this week too.

8/15/20 I may have done a couple little things over a year’s time and just failed to list it here. But I’ve had other things going on and have not spent much time on the websites. But today I’ve been trying to find pictures and things so I can restore your pages. I’ve been looking at the Nashville Pussy Chronicles too. I updated some links on MF and restored your backyard project. Damn I miss you.

8/16/20 Spent a lot of time watching Big Brother, smoking weed and restoring MusicFilter. One thing leads to another. First I worked on sorting and then worked on Artimus Pyledriver that lead me to BigFoot and that leads to Nashville Pussy. Restored photos and add some stuff to the sideblog including some NP photos. Those you took on 1/27/11 at the Masquerade are so great. Also got at least 2 57 messages today. It’s been a good day.

8/18/20 Random picked something on MusicFilter to work on and came up with BMF podcasts! I found the podcast art and I think some of the podcasts on the musicfilter.net server.

8/23/20 I’m still on a tangent updating and adding and looking at the servers trying to puzzle things back together. I’m tired but I don’t want to stop. But I will once this 1.71 GB of musicfilter.net backup gets transferred to musicfilter.com’s server. Just a step in trying to consolidate the two websites. I just want to keep the old format up for viewing in case I miss it. The ftp transfer is stuck at 73.57%. Thanks baby! God I miss you. Thank you so much for leaving all of this for me to play with while you’re gone. I’ve also worked on the Nashville Pussy Chronicles and wlll keep restoring that one too. So much! And I enjoyed the johnny rotten tumblr today too. Our little buddy and you – this is one of my favorite photos of you.

And I found “PotTalk” ..I must find these sound files. Very very important.

8/28/20 – tweak tweak tweak – 57 makes me smile

9/2/20 Updating Whatever Happened to Rock and Roll for the 10th time. I love it.

5/21/21 Looks like I have not updated in a while but maybe I just forgot to log it. I check MusicFilter almost everyday just to remind me of BMF. I am doing wellness checks on all the websites cause a couple got malware infested by assholes in the world, but MusicFilter looks great. I really need to move musicilter.net to the same server eventually. It’s been five years since he died and I didn’t make a post on MusicFilter but I will. I miss him every day. He’s my ride or die for life. It’s just too hard to replace the one and I don’t want to waste time on anyone else that can’t compare. I’m enjoying my lonely days now. I love my log cabin and try to spend lots of time there. Today I’m just reviewing stuff sitting on the server at musicfilter.net and maybe I’ll update.

The Musica – #57bmf4ever

2/14/22 It’s Valentines Day and my baby is not here and I miss him.

It’s Valentine’s Day 2022, a 20th anniversary for The Kills and a sweet memory for MusicFilter

2/21/22 – wow I’m back. It’s Van Halen day.

6/19/23 – Grief is forever. So much amazing life swirling all around me but what I really love is being alone living a simple plan. I have not spent much time on these websites. It feels like technology is passing by websites. I think they are almost like a business card. All these are just for me. However long I last they last.

I checked all the Tumblrs and they are still banging. I noticed Jeff’s Motocross tumblr with a total of 8 posts has over 5000 followers. https://www.tumblr.com/motocross
