![]() We may not be seeing a lot of Nashville Pussy around Atlanta these days but we do catch one of their roadies, Richie, at 9 Lives once in a while. We went to see the Evils last Friday night and got a real nice surprise(other than seeing Richie and Aufie)when opening band Unsatisfied took the stage. The lead guy Eric Scealf is sexy, aggressive, and oh so Iggy Pop despite performing on a broken foot he recieved while playing with the Misfits. And there is a unconfirmed rumor that Unsatisfied opened up for Nashville Pussy one time and Eric jumped up on Ruyter's amp and twirled his cock around for the crowd. That I would have paid to see. We will definitely go to see and hear these guys again. You can check out some photos and reviews of both the Evils and the Unsatisfied at Whatever Happened to Rock and Roll. Meanwhile back at the Pussy ranch... We find Nashville Pussy in the romantic city of Paris for the first night of a short European tour before returning to the States at the end of this month to play Las Vegas, Phoenix, and then winding up the year at the Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve. This will be the second year NP will bring in the new year at the famous club and they will be joined by Blare Bitch Project featuring Blare from Betty Blowtorch and Bantam featuring Gina from the Lunachicks. Rumor has it they will be recording the show for a video release. Wish we could be there! Ruyter plays bass with Nine Pound Hammer... When Nashville Pussy is between tours(which isn't very often)they spend their energy on side projects...one of those being Nine Pound Hammer. On November 30th when the regular bass player had to excused for the birth of his baby, Ruyter filled in for him. Here's what she had to say about the experience: "YES IT"S TRUE!! The Reviews are in - The NINE POUND HAMMER show was a fucking blast! Brian Paulito (Hammer Drummer) thought Austin was a party mecca (which it is). Everyone had a really good time - and yes I did play bass which was a total hoot! It was weird keeping my clothes on for the whole night - but I adapted! Gravyboat was really good too- featuring ex members of Jesus Christ Superfly - and mr generous who lent me the bass amp! And as far as I know Matt (real Hammer bass player) and Rebecca still are waiting to have the baby!! I got to be an honorary Hammer for a night! And Blaine was great as usual! It was hard to not watch and air punch like I usually do at the Hammer shows especially with my man doin his 'Blaine kept a Rollin' to end the evening - ahhhh now to forget everything I learned and remeber the PUSSY in time for PARIS!! Thanks Beth Billy Bob Missy and everyone who came out and partied down! check the Hammer site for more reviews!!" [via NP MB] And thanks to Miss CountryStarr for supplying these great pictures of the show! Say Something Nasty on vinyl... According to our favorite record store Say Something Nasty has not been released on vinyl yet. However you can order both the plain and picture version from Craig at Eat More Records. His number is 770-717-8111. In fact he can get pretty much anything you want. Very cool guys over there, except last time I was there he compared the Distillers to the Donnas. Shame on you Craig. :) Ok that's enough typing. I'm off to New York for vampires and shopping. posted by miss chicky @ 12:22 PM | leave a message for Nashville Pussy | current ![]() |
