BMF may be considered a bit of a punk purist or a punk elitist. He is very critical of anything that strays from his ideal of punk. He is very into the 'oldschool punk', the original punk bands of the 70s and 80s. Some may consider him outdated, but others admire his thoroughness and distinct look.
