The Somber Reptile was established in 1987 and has been in its present location since the spring of 1991.  The venue has been an integral part of the music scene in Georgia hosting over 5000 events. The venue has been showcasing talent from every genre of music from Hip Hop to Rock to Country. It specializes in presenting original unsigned talent with a professional production. It has been referred to as being an incubator to tomorrows stars. The room is frequently used for promotional-parties to the sporting events and concerts in the surrounding stadiums.    The Somber Reptile is with in two miles of the following Institutions: Georgia Dome-2miles, World Congress Center-2miles, Phillips Arena-2 miles, Bobby Dodd Stadium-half a mile, Alexander Collesium-2 miles, Ga.Tech University-Across the street, Ga.State University-half a mile, Atlanta University-2 miles, Ga.Tech Aquatic Center-2 miles.

The venue has been host to many private functions and parties. The Somber Reptile is available for private rentals or events.  The Cajun Kitchen serves up critically acclaimed Cajun/Creole cuisine with an authentic flavor that makes it a favorite eating spot in the downtown and midtown area. The restaurant has a down-home atmosphere that makes it unique in today's cookie-cutter chain eatery environment. Whether you are attending your favorite sporting event or just doing business in-town; the Cajun Kitchen is a must stop.  The mouthwatering po-boys and homemade dishes have been pleasing Atlantans through the years.  After 9pm the Cajun Kitchen transforms itself from a restaurant to a nightclub featuring deejays and live entertainment. The kitchen is also available for private functions and art parties. The festivities go on all night till 4am!

Outformation is for all rock, funk and blues lovers. Sam Holt (guitar), Lee Schwartz (drums) and Grady Upchurch (bass) make up this power trio that pays homage to the greats while invoking their own innovative powers. BSB sets, usually comprised of originals and cover tunes, aren't ever the same (neither are his practice lists). The result is an exploratory style and passionate sound that always produces a unique live set.
