VH1 Supergroup

VH1 is apparently putting a group of musicians in a house for 10 days and hoping they will write and record at least one original song while in the house. Motley manager Doc McGhee will act at the manager/producer of the group and will stay in the house with them. The musicians they have lined up for the new show are Ted Nugent (guitar), Scott Ian (anthrax, guitar), Evan Seinfield (Biohazard, bass), Sebastian Bach (Skid Row, vocals), and Jason Bonham the son of legendary drummer John Bonham (drums, duh).

We wil definatley be watching this.

Steve Jones and Glen Matlock on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Steve Jones: on Indie 103.1 Opened his Friday programme (24th Feb) by singing: “We’re not going/To the museum/You can shove it/You can have it.”

The Sex Pistols’ former bass player, Glen Matlock, told The Independent on Sunday yesterday it had been a unanimous decision by the band to steer clear. “It’s nothing to do with the bands – it’s all to do with business. When I first heard about it I was quite excited… but then I found I was going to have to pay thousands of pounds to take my kids. It’s just a big corporate event, a bunch of Herberts in suits… just a money-making opportunity for multi-million shysters.

Sex Pistols release statement to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Sex Pistols have released an official statement to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in response to the bands induction in the rock museum. Read the official letter here. This is the best thing to happen in music that I’ve seen for a long time. A nice reminder of why the Pistols remain the most exciting and important thing to happen to Rock and Roll since Elvis Presley.
